Bill Robinson is one of my greatest musical mentors. While I have been influenced by many styles of music and have had formal musical training, I learned to play the hammered dulcimer from Bill. Together we have received 7 Master/Apprentice folk arts grants from the Illinois Arts Council. Bill has been an incredible supporter and advocate for me to continue learning (not just from him), playing, and sharing hammered dulcimer music. With his blessing, I am teaching this workshop tho share with you a little history of hammered dulcimer music in Illinois, which has been largely influenced by Bill and his family.
